Giant Victory Before the MLB All-Star game there was a lot of controversy about the San Francisco Giants running promotions to encourage fans to stuff the ballot boxes for Giants players. Pablo Sandoval, who probably didn’t deserve a spot, was voted to start at 3B over David Wright, which prompted a lot of debate about how we choose all-stars. Well, fans of the NL should be glad that Giant Fans did get their players in. A bases loaded triple by Pablo Sandoval and a two run home run were key as the National League blasted the American League 8-0. Melky won MVP in the contest, and for just the third time in the last ten years, the NL will have home field advantage in the World Series as a result of this victory.
