Fresh Start On Tuesday evening, The Detroit Pistons traded Ben Gordon and 2013 protected first round draft pick to the Charlotte Bobcats for swingman, Corey Maggette. The move will benefit both sides as the Pistons were able to gain a massive salary dump to make further moves in the future and the Bobcats are now able to pick up another valuable draft pick and finally an NBA starter type player. Ben Gordon will be able to thrive on this team as his minutes will increase and his scoring abilities will be further displayed on the Bobcats. Not a bad start to the offseason for Charlotte.

And don’t forget what Ben Gordon is capable of.

Rock Bottom The Charlotte Bobcats are the absolute low point of the NBA. The roster they have put together is disgraceful at best and they look years away from being able to compete. On Monday Night they tried to inch closer to contention by installing a new coach for this team who won seven games all of last season. St. Johns University assistant coach, Mike Dunlap is set to be the next head coach of the Bobcats after the front office was impressed with his high energy as well as his offensive and defensive schemes he plans to install. The hiring came as a surprise as it was reported yesterday that Brian Shaw and Quin Snyder were the two favorites but it seems Dunlap stole the show. He can really only make this team better as they definitely did hit rock bottom last season. His first and most important contribution will be 2nd overall pick that the Bobcats have in the 2012 Draft, as this player could be the foundation to his future plans in Charlotte.
